The boardwalk along Westminster Quay is always a great place to go for a walk, especially in the summer. This summer, interpreters from the Fraser River Discovery Centre will bring the diverse story of the Fraser to life, right on the boardwalk, with a series of walking tours.
Each 25 minute tour is fully narrated and focuses on the diverse plant and animal life along the river. Tours are designed for all ages and include a number of opportunities to get hands on. As well as hearing all about messy Great Blue heron nests, visitors will have a chance to hold a beaver tail or read a sturgeon tag.
Starting Saturday July 4th, walking tours will be offered at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday in July and August. Tours are included in admission to the Fraser River Discovery Centre or are $2 for tour drop ins. Everyone is welcome, no reservations are needed and all tour areas are wheelchair accessible. |
