The Fraser River Discovery Centre Society established the Fraser River Hall of Fame in October 1991 to recognize and honour an individual or organization that has made significant and noteworthy contributions to the health and sustainability of the Fraser River, its culture, people, industry and environment. The contribution may be in the field of community leadership, business and economic development, labour, industry volunteer service, research, culture and arts.
Each year the Hall of Fame nominee is recognizes for their significant achievements and contributions at the Annual Fraser River Hall of Fame celebrations hosted in the fall.
