Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to gain experience!

. . The Fraser River Discovery Centre invites you to become a volunteer. Becoming a volunteer is a great way to get involved in your community, meet new people, and gain skills and experience.

Some people have more time to give than others, we understand that. A few hours a week, every few weeks, or during special events all adds up. We are looking for people to dedicate some of their time to ensure that the Discovery Centre is an active, and successful organization within the community.

Your commitment can make a difference.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Workshop Leader/Assistant – Volunteers participate in delivering educational programs on the Fraser River to school groups.
Office Assistant – Volunteers assist staff with filing, transcribing data, photocopying, preparing mail outs, brochure design, and other related duties.
  • Display Centre Host –Volunteers are responsible for welcoming visitors, assisting visitors in interpretation of exhibits, procuring informative pamphlets and brochures, and highlighting attractions of the Centre.
