Volunteer Opportunities: (click on job title for job description)	School Program Leader - Deliver educational programs on the Fraser River to school groups. Welcome Host - Provide front desk support, greet visitors, assist visitors in interpretation of exhibits and highlight attractions of the Centre. Answer telephone calls and answer general inquiries. Process admission transactions and operate cash register. Research Assistant - Research and record information for Discovery Centre exhibits, programs and special projects. Special Event Assistant - Supervise kids crafts, provide information to the public at special events both at the Discovery Centre and at off-site events.
What is the Fraser River Discovery Centre?	A hands-on interpretive centre celebrating the stories, peoples, heritage and future of the Fraser River.
Who is the Discovery Centre looking for?	People who: - are knowledgeable about or are motivated to learn about the Fraser River OR - are excited about BC's history OR - are knowledgable about commerce and industry on the Fraser OR - feel passionately about protecting the environment OR - are interested in educating others OR - customer service oriented individuals who display a positive attitude and an interest in learning OR - want to help make the Discovery Centre an active and successful organization within our community
