The wait is over. RiverFest is back for its 16th year!

RiverFest: Inspired by the Fraser is presented by Port of Vancouver. It is Metro Vancouver’s biggest celebration of the environmental, economic and socio-cultural importance of the Fraser River.

Returning to headline the entertainment on Saturday is Bobs and Lolo. Specializing in up-beat, interactive music for pre-kindergarten and elementary school-aged children, Bobs and Lolo is a four-time Juno award-nominated act that combines art, education, and love of nature to connect children with their communities and natural environment. Joining them this year at RiverFest is Ginalina, a Western Canadian Music Awards Winner and Juno-nominee known for her fast, fun, interactive, and joyful songs.

As always, the RiverFest Exhibitor Expo is back with organizations showcasing the environmental and cultural significance of the Fraser, its communities, other bodies of water, as well as BC nature and wildlife. The RiverFest Artisan Market presented by New West Craft will also return this year.

Once again, our Family Fun Zone – loaded with games and interactive activities --is sure to be a hit with children and families of all ages. And be sure to visit the Samson V Maritime Museum to tour the last steam-powered sternwheeler in B.C.

Of course, RiverFest would not be complete without the Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade presented by Ledcor! Come down and watch tugboats zip across the water in style.

Feeling hungry? Not a worry! Some of New Westminster’s top restaurants are just steps away in the River Market.
